My Advisory

Today in my advisory class I noticed that some of the guys in here does not care. I say this because we have tried to do work, watch movies, and even order ourselves food from a Chinese Restaurant. But no one even realizes that they have life so easy. I mean compared to children that were born about twenty years before me everyone now has now believed that they own everything. I now realize what elderly people now mean when they began a "Back in my day" speech. i have now noticed that i should start appreciating what I have now and not take it for granted. I know that when my time is over I have to train my children to appreciate the little things.

The Need to be Perceived

Today in school I noticed that a lot of people have the need to be noticed by their peers. I have been going to this school for two years and I have noticed that without the approval of others. It's like approval is a very addictive drug that is hard to overcome. Don't get me wrong I have had the need to be noticed, but i have realized that the only opinion that counts is my own. Just keep in mind that in a world where everyone is trying to change who you are, being yourself is a major accomplishment.
